so here i am–flying by he seat of my pants hoping to come out of this college experience with a degree that will lead me to a fulfilling career. i've been exploring luthiery this past year and have found a substantial appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into making and restoring string instruments, which i hope to explore much more after graduation. all “hopes” aside, i have been spending most of my days enjoying where i am in my life, on the brink of (and in the midst of) complete change.

there are a few things that have remained constant, though. growing up my mom would always tell me that i was a horse. “horses”, she said, “are beautiful, spirited, and loyal friends. they can sometimes be timid, but are always curious and make adventurous companions.” 

here's a few more things that have been steady :


~music is my spiritual pulse. its the only thing that liberates my mind through my body instead of from it.
~the outdoors is my true nature. to me there is no where more sacred.
~astronomy is another one of my true loves. i guess it sums up my curiosity for the fantastic, and reverence of the void.
~art is my love of things past, and things now, and my love of vision.
~listening is my greatest talent. that and appreciation. i'm probably relishing in either of those when you think i'm just sitting there quietly. (which is quite often…)
~water is what lies at the depths of me that i have yet to fully explore. it is where my strength lies,  where my potential lies, and where i will find grace.

i know this profile will grow as i do through this site and its rich messages, but “ever forward, but slowly” , you know.
